ZTE F102 MOBILE PHONE REVIEW

Provider:
3 network

Appearance:

Plain and simple looking. Good for people who don't like anything too flashy.

Advantages:

* You are able to keep your own number just by transferring your old Sim to this phone, and keep your monthly contract ongoing.
* Access to the Internet Windows Messenger and Skype
* The World time feature is really handy if you need to know how many hours in front or behind somewhere is.
* Camera, video camera, voice recorder, bluetooth
* Software and connection to upload your pictures and videos to your PC/laptop
* You can create your own music play list
* Set your own keyguard locks for auto, 10 seconds etc.

Disadvantages:

* Keys are a little heavy to press and are small. You have to use your nails really or you could end up pressing 2 keys at once.
* The calculator is very basic. It doesn't even have a % symbol. You can just do simple maths and use the decimal point.
* No games included you have to install.
* Cannot have a pictures of your contacts that show up when they call.
* Each time you send a text message you have to select name from contacts. There is no auto save of people you have sent messages to previously for quickness.
* No smiley face or animated text message characters.

Neutrals:

* The alarm is decent, as you get to choose your own snooze times. Although there is no reminder or notes section in the tool area. You have to write an 'alarm comment' when setting an alarm instead.
* Camera isn't amazing quality, but ok for someone who just likes to take general family pictures etc.
* You may not be able to fit your memory card from an old phone in this phones slot
* Not that many - or good ones at that ring tones and message tones.

My overall opinion on usability:

This is a really basic phone, that is suitable really for people who just want to make and receive calls, send and receive texts and take a few pictures only.

Definitely not a phone for people who love tech, or like to make use of all their phone features.

To me it serves it's purpose as a temporary phone and is inexpensive to buy.

I bought this mobile phone as my other one got damaged and was too expensive to repair, until i can get an upgrade on my contract in several months.

WHAT SOFTWARE PROGRAMMES DO YOU USE?

It can get confusing with all the different software's you can download to maintain your PC and Laptops.

There are software programmes for performance, speed, security, tools, back up and probably alot more too. In fact there is no doubt in my mind there is!

The back up data is something in particular i worry about. What if i lost all my work? - all my word documents, photos, spreadsheets etc.

All that time and effort would have gone to waste. And all for the sake that i didn't back up my work, or do that security check i was meant to do.

We all do it, and get lazy in our ways. Alot of us are not that 'tech minded' and probably wouldn't have a clue where to start, or know where get the information from.

I couldn't imagine what it would be like for someone who runs a massive business to lose all their important information.

A friend told me about virtual tape library vtl, that would allow me to back up and restore data at incredible speeds as high as 9600 MB/sec.

It sounds intriguing, but i would be interesting to know what programmes you guys use on a day to day basis too.

INSIDE XBOX 360 iPHONE APPLICATION

If you ever wanted to see whats going on with your Xbox dashboard when your not playing your games, there is a cool iPhone Application that's ideal for checking up on things.

Your avatar and gamer score shows up when you sign in. You can also see which of your Xbox friends are online, look at the latest videos, game trailers, updates and news clips .

This is the only Microsoft endorsed mobile application, that's brought you by the Zumobi network.

If your an avid gamer, then this probably wont be much use to you if your constantly playing your games anyway, as you already have the information in front of you regularly.

But it's good for the casual gamer, or for checking your gamer score against your friends if your around their house or something!

FOOTBALL FAN HEAVEN SITE

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of GoViral. All opinions are 100% mine.

Get a load of men in the room, and you can guarantee the conversation will turn into football at some point.

Who's team is the better one?. Which players are the best? and what score do you predict?

Those are just a few of the questions that would crop up. But what if you had to answer the question would you back your club before country or country before club?

It's a tough one isn't it? Mike from the video above asks 4 friends, and it soon turns into a full blown argument about football! It's quite funny actually, but it makes you think what would your answer be?

For all those people who live and breathe everything football, you will probably love the Betfair website.

From here you can keep up with all the latest news, see match fixtures, tables, results and goal alerts.

You can also comment, watch videos, see the picture galleries and even put on a cheeky bet, if you like a bit of a flutter. It's basically a football fan heaven!

What makes Betfair different from all the other places is it is the world's first betting exchange. This means you get to choose your own odds instead of someone else telling you what's what.

DRAGON AGE ORIGINS GAME REVIEW

Console: Xbox 360
Genre: Fantasy RPG
Rated: 18

Overview:

* This dark fantastic epic game comes from the makers of Mass Effect.
* You are a grey warden, and one of the last of the legendary orders of guardians.
* With the return of an ancient foe and the kingdom currently in a civil war, you have been chosen to bring order back to the lands, and get rid of the archdemon for good.

Gameplay:

Think Final Fantasy meets Lord Of The Rings. Choose your race from a human/elf/mage/dwarf and earn XP (Experience Points) in your game and level up.

You can also upgrade armours and weapons, and pick your squad from an elite team of strangers to aid you on your quest.

Fight anything from mercenaries to ogres and huge demonic bosses. This game consists of over 80 hours of gameplay from start to finish, and that's without the downloadable content.

The downloads (Shale character with separate story and Blood Dragon armour, which can also be used in Mass Effect 2), are free when you purchase the game.

There are other downloads too, but you would have to pay for those.

Result:

A decent take on the RPG (role playing game), but nowhere near as good as Mass Effect. But it's still worth buying just for value for your money alone.

Rating:

4.5 / 5

TOP iPHONE APPS : Paper Toss, Fake Caller & Sky Sports

Paper Toss (Free to download)

Based in a typical office office environment. You have to use your screwed up paper ball and try and get it in the bin. But you use the fan's power to direct it.

There are different strengths to the fan and directions. You have to use your common sense to know how hard to flick it across with your finger for it to land in the bin.

Fake Caller (Free to download)

This fake caller iPhone app is funny. If you know you will be in an awkward situation and want to get away, you can create your own fake call to ring you on your phone at a certain time.

You can make up your own name and picture. When it rings you just press the answer button as you normally would and fake your call!

Sky Sports (Free to download)

You can get all the fixtures, dates, score lines, commentary feed, latest news and pictures of the matches from top football matches like the World Cup, International, League matches including the Portuguese league, Dutch league and many more.

LEFT 4 DEAD 2 GAME REVIEW

Console: Xbox 360
Genre: Action/Horror
Rated: 18

Overview:

* Even more intense than the original game with 4 new game modes, 5 campaigns, new survivors, more campaigns, more weapons and more zombies!
* Advanced technology gives you solo, co-op and multiplayer modes, as well as split screen play.
* The game modes include 'Scavenge' where you collect gas cans to make your escape and a 'Survival' mode, where you make a stand against wave after wave of zombies.

Gameplay:

The gameplay is exactly the same as the original with a bit of fine tuning. The graphics on the whole are alot better and the A.I is alot sharper.

This 2nd edition is harder to play than the original. You have got new weapons included melee weapons (baseball bat, machete axe and frying pan to name a few)

There are 4 new characters you can choose to play with, all with their own personalities.

You play in the daytime located in the deep south, as opposed to the original where you played at night time only.

Result:

The first game was really good, but this one is brilliant!

Rating:
4.5/5
